Whether it’s your first ever eye-test, you’ve been wearing glasses for years, or you just need a some help
we’re here to guide you through the process at Whiffens Opticians we can help.
Eye test
30 minutes
Our eye tests will help you to see better and with greater clarity in your home life, work, and better for wellbeing.
We will also check for current and potential medical conditions where needed, for example: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, diabetes, raised blood pressure, and other optical imperfections. OCT scanning will enable prompt diagnosis of most ocular conditions.
Choose your frames
As long as you need
Choosing your frames has never need simpler. We have a wide range of designer and white-label frame options at a range of different prices.
If you want something we haven’t got it in stock we can order it for you.
Try our frames on, we’ll make suggestions and take your initial measurements.
Collect & fitting
20 minutes
When your new glasses are ready we’ll call you. We can either drop in and collect them or book an appointment.
We’ll fit them to your face so they’re comfortable. We’ll also give you a case and a cloth.
If you experience any issues with your glasses pop back in. We’ll tighten them up, give them a clean and a new cloth if you need it.

They come in all different shapes, sizes, and materials.

We can turn any frame into sunglasses by tinting the lenses.
We also have lenses without a prescription that are ready to take away. Just let us know which ones you like and we’ll remove them from our secure unit.
